Create Careers page for your Webflow site
Webflow is known for its design flexibility, making it an excellent choice for building visually stunning, interactive websites. For businesses focused on creating unique digital experiences, Webflow’s powerful design tools offer a creative playground.
However, when it comes to specialized pages like a careers portal, Webflow may not meet all the practical needs. Creating and managing job listings in Webflow requires a CMS plan, which can become costly, especially with storage limitations. Additionally, the interface may pose challenges for HR managers or non-technical team members who need to post job openings and track applications frequently.
Steps to create careers page
1 In SubPage dashboard, enter the main domain of your website hosted at Webflow. Example: mysaastool.com
2 After adding the domain, the create page dialog will open. Here scroll and select "Career" page from the list
3 This will open the career page editor, here select your preferred career page theme (can be changed later), and also enter a vanity url for subpage.app domain (this does not matter)
4 Now using the AI assisted editor, quickly add vacant job positions, job benefits and company details
Steps to publish careers page to Webflow
1 After adding all the required content, goto the career page editor's main dashboard and click on "Connect domain" button
2 In the connect domain sidebar, first un-publish the "SubPage domain" hosting and select "Custom Domain" from the dropdown
3 Here enter a suitable subdomain name like careers or jobs. And then click on "Save and Publish". Now inorder for your Webflowdomain host to verify this subdomain, the CNAME domain record mentioned in the sidebar above should be added to your domain host's DNS settings.
4 If your site is hosted with Webflow's default custom domain, usually it is via IONOS domain provider. So goto ionos.com and login with your ionos credentials. Add the DNS record as mentioned in this article https://www.ionos.com/help/domains/configuring-cname-records-for-subdomains/configuring-a-cname-record-for-a-subdomain/
5 If your custom domain is hosted in some other hosting provider like GoDaddy, Namecheap etc.. find relevant articles in their knowledgebase on how to add custom CNAME records for subdomain
6 After adding the CNAME record, wait for atleast 10 minutes for the DNS change to propagate.
7 Again click the "Save and Publish" button in your careers "Connect Domain" sidebar at SubPage.app. If it is verified, then opening the subdomain url (example: careers.mywebsite.com) will open your career page with all your details.
