Create Careers Page For Wix Site

Create Careers Page For Wix Site

Wix is a powerful platform for building creative websites, popular among businesses that prioritize design flexibility and ease of use. With an extensive template library and user-friendly interface, Wix is ideal for creating visually appealing sites with minimal technical expertise.

However, when it comes to building a careers page, Wix may not provide all the tools necessary for effective recruitment management. Limited career-specific templates, restricted CMS features, and a lack of built-in applicant tracking tools can make it challenging for HR teams to manage job listings and applications smoothly.

SubPage provides a more efficient solution for careers pages, offering features tailored to the needs of HR professionals. With no-code job management, a lightweight Applicant Tracking System, and integrations with platforms like LinkedIn and Zapier, SubPage lets you build a robust, easy-to-manage careers page designed to attract top candidates without the limitations of Wix.

To add a functional careers page with applicant tracking to your Wix website, follow these steps:

Steps to create a careers page

1Log in to your SubPage account and enter the main domain of your Wix-hosted website (e.g., mywebsite.com).

2In the Connect Domain sidebar, first unpublish the default "SubPage domain" hosting. Then, from the dropdown menu, select "Custom Domain".

3Enter a suitable subdomain name, such as "careers" or "jobs", and click "Save and Publish". For your Wix domain host to verify this subdomain, you'll need to add the CNAME record provided in the sidebar to your domain host’s DNS settings.

4If your site is hosted with Wix’s default custom domain, log in to your Wix account at wix.com using your credentials. Then, follow the instructions in this article to add the CNAME record.

5If your custom domain is hosted with another provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap), consult their knowledge base for relevant instructions on how to add custom CNAME records for a subdomain.

6After adding the CNAME record, allow up to 48 hours for the DNS changes to fully propagate.

7Once the DNS changes have propagated, return to the Connect Domain sidebar in the SubPage.app and click "Save and Publish" again.

8If the verification is successful, you can access your career page by opening the subdomain URL (e.g., mywebsite.careers.com) where all your content will be displayed.

If your domain is not verified even after the CNAME setup, Kindly contact SubPage support for further assistance.

Why not use Wix for your Career Page portal?

👎 Wix offers a limited selection of career page templates, though you can create one from scratch.

👎 Wix provides CMS features for a career page, but these are fully accessible only with advanced (paid) functionalities.

👎 HR managers may find it challenging to create job listings and manage applicants in Wix, as it lacks built-in tools for recruitment.

👎 If you switch from Wix, a career page created with SubPage doesn’t require migration, as Wix doesn’t support importing sites built outside of its platform.
